Relay agains rape – Political Campaign

During the campaign "Relay against Rape" we, five independent teams of female creators, wanted to work across agency boundaries to create debate and change the law on women's vulnerable position and rights in rapes. A reaction to an existing debate in society caused by a number of unusual crude cases of rape where the perpetrators had been released. Our main objective with the campaign was to gather a substantial collection of names of protesters to hand over to the Minister of Justice, Beatrice Ask. A series of billboards were given to the cause, and the various campaigns took turns in the spring of 2007.

With frightening statistics, Lotta Lundgren and I wanted to provoke reflection. Our ad got a lot of attention, both from the press and the public. The appeal reached its goal of collecting 20,000 signatures. We also recruited the moderate Member of Parliament Anna König Jerlmyr to the fight. During the seminar "On abused men who rape and raped women who are abused" (where Lotta Lundgren acted as moderator), the Minister of Justice had to answer questions "on how sexual crimes can be prevented and how legal protection for rape victims can be strengthened." In addition, several recognized experts participated. provide proposals for how rape crimes can be prevented and counteracted.
